Name's significance:
English: Kyrie Annette
Japanese: 桐恵 (きりえ、Kirie)
桐 is the paulownia, a tree traditionally planted when one has a daughter in Japan. When she is of age and ready to leave home, it is cut down and made into furniture for her first home. Each of us has a plant in our name--Daiju means "big tree," my middle name is Rose, and Micaiah's Japanese name means "three susuki grass." So, Kyrie is the paulownia tree.
恵 is grace, which of course is significant to us as Christians, because we are saved by grace through faith and not works. But 恵 is also part of Daiju's mother's name, 惠子 or Keiko, "graceful child."
Additionally, Kyrie is a Latin word for Lord which is traditionally used to refer to Christ, and is also my closest sister's middle name.
Finally, Annette means "grace," and is my maternal grandmother's middle name. My mother's name is Ann, so she is also included.
So, our little girl is named after four special women!

Enjoy your baby girl! Two are better than one. :-) God bless you! I can't wait to meet her one day!
I love you!
Thank you so much!! I'm really looking forward to sharing the books and things you gave to her brother now with her, too. God has truly blessed us. I hope we can all get together one day in the near future and introduce her to you and your beautiful family. <3
