I went back to Texas for about three weeks. I had a great time with family and friends, and got to attend my younger brother's wedding. Oh, and eat a lot of the foods I've been missing!
April
This was my first month unemployed. I've been doing a lot of things around the house, and resting a lot (this pregnancy thing sure does take it out of you!).
May
I've been cooking a lot more, and am slowly getting into a nice routine at home. I teach English at the community center--about a 10-min walk from my house--three times a month. I'm still teaching English to kids at church once a month, like I have been for the past year or so.
This month is when I really started showing! People are starting to be able to tell that I'm expecting. And I've been feeling a lot more movement lately. This week I started month seven, and less than a month from now, I'll be in the third trimester! Crazy!!!
Also this month, our niece was born! My sister-in-law was about a week past her due date, but her daughter came naturally. We're so incredibly happy for her and her family! And this little girl is the first grandchild on my husband's side, so you can imagine how happy his parents are. Her cousin will be the same age as her--just a few months younger. Isn't that exciting?!
June
I plan to join a maternity swimming class. I'm hoping to build up some muscle and endurance so that labor won't be so laborious (ha ha). I'm sure it'll be hard and painful no matter what, but I've heard that being fit helps, and may even shorten the length of time it takes to give birth.
July
I turn a year older. I had hoped to be younger when I had my first child, but God knows best. And now, several of my friends are expecting at the same time, so that makes it a more enjoyable experience.
August
It's gonna be a hot one with that big baby bump!
September
The baby is due on the 10th, and I'm just hoping s/he comes any day but the 11th... It'd be easy to remember, sure, but I'd prefer a happier day than that one. And many, many of our friends at church have birthdays in September, so it's pretty likely that s/he will be born on somebody's special day!
My grandma and dad will come to visit for a week the week after the due date. I'm excited about seeing them, and about them seeing the baby! What a special time.
October
And five days after they leave, my mom and sister (the oldest of the three) will come to visit for a week as well. The baby will be a little older by then, but I'm sure I'll still love to have their company and help! In fact, I can hardly wait!
