A Bridge 橋

Today the youth had a little Bible study after lunch (after church). We studied the time (in Mark 9?) when Jesus healed a blind man by putting spit on his eyes (the one where the guy first saw people walking around like trees, but the second time he saw clearly).
Any way, by the end of our discussion of the passage we noticed how the blind man's friends had been such a bridge for him, connecting him to Jesus.
One of the ladies there said that's how she came to know Christ--her host mother, whom she stayed with when she was studying in the States, took her to church every Sunday. Before that, she didn't even know Jesus' name!
The college girl there, who was leading the discussion, said she's met some people through the college ministries she's involved in who have had similar experiences. Then I mentioned how Daiju and I would like to do some type of outreach ministry to the students at the university near our place. Was she excited! She said she had a couple of friends at the university who had been having a small Bible study together. One has just graduated, but another is still a student there. She said she'll contact him and tell him about us. Plus, she and the other lady both said they'd like to help us with our ministry to the university students. What a blessing!
Daiju and I have been pondering how to get connected with that university since we got here. We went to one of their festivals a couple of months ago, but we weren't really able to make any connections with anybody. But THIS is great! I'm really looking forward to seeing how God spreads His fame at this university through the ONE student (as far as we know) who is a devoted Believer there.
Please pray for us regarding this possible open door. Blessings to you! <3
