It's about 50 degrees F, and the temperature should continue to drop as winter approaches. Daiju lifted the edge of my glove to give me some "training" to tolerate the cold. I am really not a fan of cold weather!! I better buy some more heated clothing...
I got off early tonight, and Daiju's coming home early, too! I'm so excited! I get to see Daiju before I go to sleep!!!!
In my last post I said the "puro" and "ama" thing was "REALLY FUNNY"...well, actually, it was so funny because I had had a brain fart and thought amateur=immature. Now that I recall the actual word, it's only slightly funny (the meanings of 'professional' and 'amateur' are still a little different from how they're used in English). -_-' :(
I also mentioned going out with a coworker in my last entry. As we were returning to work after lunch, I asked her how often she goes to Cost-Co and if she'd be able to buy some popcorn for me there. She replied she went often, but that she already had a ton of microwave popcorn she hadn't been eating at home that she could give me. I was so excited earlier this week when I saw a paper bag with at least 10 bags of microwave popcorn in my box at work!!! Praise the Lord!! ^_^ :]
Thank you for your prayers about the church thing. After talking with Daiju, we decided that, unless I'm really drained and need to be with him, I will got to the church we're about to join (when he's absent because of work). I joined the choir last Sunday afternoon, so I'm starting to feel more "a part" of the church. I'm told my Japanese is improving; please pray for that too. I want to understand more and be able to speak on more subjects more effectively.
We'll share our testimonies with the pastor this Sunday after church, and then present them to the church (most likely) the following Sunday.
Oh, and on Monday we'll spend some time with our new AND old pastor--the one from our church in Dallas is visiting Japan, so we get to meet with him when he visits our new pastor.
Blessings, blessings... I'm learning that, even when I put my foot in my mouth, life still goes on without much impedance.
