I still like the train better than driving, but that rush our traffic is not fun!!! I was so exhausted yesterday after my 1 hour 40 minute commute to my first day of training for work (people were falling onto me!). Today was better though (Daiju showed me another route that's a little faster and a little more comfortable).
Working full-time is kind of scary for me...never done it before...And I'll have a test on Monday about everything I'm learning in training this week. That's a little scary too. My work place is more business-like than school-like, so we'll see how I fair. I'm pretty sure the contract is a renewable 1-year one. Pray for me!!!
Daiju's doing better. He's feeling better, and I think he's getting more used to his job. He taught his first lesson last Friday as a substitute. It was an English lesson. He asked the (jr. high) kids how to say "it's hot" and none of them knew. When he told them 'atsui' means 'hot' then they protested, "Teacher, isn't that 'boshi' (hat)?" He said "No, that's HAT. Atsui is HOT." Quite funny to me...
I better go eat and study and go to bed. I was too tired to do much of anything last night. I better take advantage of the energy and do something productive!!!
